HR Resolutions: How to make technology support HR in 2025

Is technology set to drive you forward this year, or will it hold you back? Are you ready to accept the challenge or does the thought of even downloading an app put you in a spin?

In the first webinar of the year from The HR World, Claire Webber-Powell – People Director, Outdoor and Cycle Concepts Ltd, Annabel Roberts – Head of HR, Centric HR and Kameshwari Rao – Chief People Officer, Publicis Sapient, discussed their approach to technology and how HR can take advantage of what’s out there and what’s to come.

Drawing from their different perspectives – diverse organisation and challenges – it emerged that technology certain hold a great deal of potential for the function. From the discussion it seems that the hype and excitement around AI has tempered a little, resulting in a more practical and down-to-earth view on the selection and implementation of technology. There’s clearly consideration of both the message and the audience when deciding what technology should be exploited and Claire Webber-Powell described some imaginative and thorough ways of ensuring technology investment had the impact required.

Technology is undoubtedly important and retains the potential for making efficiencies for HR functions. Not all employers have exploited the possibilities but technology isn’t the answer in every case. Person to person communication is still important and necessary, even if this sometimes lends itself to a more blended approaching when communicating across an entire diverse workforce.

The webinar is packed full of value and ideas which every HR department should take note of. It includes thoughts on:

  • Does your technology need attention or is the HR agenda changing and making new demands?
  • Is AI still a hot ticket?
  • Can automation drive greater efficiency?
  • How can great technology drive a great HR strategy?

Watch this webinar to hear from the experts, learn from other HR professionals and share your challenges.
